Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta admitted that he wouldn't be happy with former-teammate Neymar joining Real Madrid due to the quality he possesses.
Neymar has enjoyed a fantastic start to life at Paris Saint-Germain on the pitch but reports linking him with Los Blancos simply won't go away.
"Yes, it would bother me because he's a decisive player," he explained.
"This would strengthen our fiercest rival significantly.
"In football anything can happen, we've seen impossible situations become reality."
Javier Mascherano's future at the Camp Nou is uncertain with the Argentine having had little playing time but Iniesta still doesn't want to see him leave.
"I would like Javier to stay here," he admitted.
"He's a very important figure in the group. We'll see what happens, both sides are working on an outcome that won't hurt the club."
With Cristiano Ronaldo having won his fifth Ballon d'Or, comparisons with Lionel Messi have filled column inches, however the veteran believes the Portuguese is deserving of the acclaim.
"The choice to decide the winner is always fair," he confirmed.
"Though we don't know the specifics which decide the winner.
"For me, it's very fair that Ronaldo has five Ballon d'Or trophies."
Iniesta's international career has been one from a fairytale, from winning multiple honours to scoring the winning goal in the World Cup final.
For this reason many believe him to be La Roja's greatest ever player, although this is something the 33-year-old rebukes.
"I wouldn't say I'm the best Spanish footballer in history," he went on.
"This just isn't something I either believe or feel. I'm proud of everything I've done, but I'm not the best.
